Warehouse Manager - Sindos Distribution Center

Job’s Purpose

As Warehouse Manager you direct receiving, storing, picking, cross docking and loading operations. You should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and all warehouse processes and flows are running timely, in accordance with company’s operational policies and in compliance with health, safety, hygiene and security standards. Having customers at the centre of our focus, the Warehouse Manager manages labour, infrastructure, capacity and training to achieve efficiencies while maintaining the service quality as expected. 

What you will focus on

•    Manages the receiving, handling, storing, order fulfilment, packing and loading activities of the warehouse, ensuring that quality and productivity standards are met or exceeded
•    Develops and drives culture of accountability, respect and diversity while cultivating a high performance and results-oriented working environment. 
•    Programs, short and long term, means to ensure that personnel, storage facilities, material handling and equipment are always efficiently available to meet company standards for productivity, quality, and      customer service
•    Develops procedures and working instructions to support continuous improvement of warehousing operations while hitting the targeted customer satisfaction (service level)
•    Develops and owns the annual budget and monitors its implementation, by controlling the deviations and by taking proactive corrective actions
•    Analyses, in collaboration with warehouse supervisors, productivity and develops actionable plans for loss prevention
•    Ensures, through inventory controls of warehouses, the agreement of accounting and physical balance, by collaborating closely with Finance Department
•    Follows up trends and assesses the impact of emerging technologies to propose efficiencies for the warehouses.
•    Closely collaborates with Technical Dept. to coordinate warehouse's and equipment's maintenance to ensure premises and equipment of the warehouse are operating under Group’s Risk, Health and Safety policies 
•    Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations
•    Produce reports and statistics regularly regarding warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)


What you bring
•    Proven work experience 7 years in relevant position. Experience in a food retail setting will be considered as an asset 
•    BA/BSc in Business Admin, Logistics, Supply Chain or similar. MSc will be considered as an asset 
•    Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives, procedures and best practices
•    Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and decision making 
•    Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff
•    Ability to deliver effective feedback
•    Fluency in English language, oral & written
•    MS suite literate
