The opportunity 

We are looking for an Equipment & New Technologies Specialist to join our Equipment Team in Technical Division.

This role combines technical expertise, project coordination, supplier management, and innovation. As Equipment & New Technologies Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the development of new stores and the renovation of existing locations by ensuring the effective selection, procurement, and implementation of equipment solutions that meet operational, energy efficiency, safety, and cost objectives.

You will contribute to the standardization of technical specifications across the network, support investment decisions, and identify innovative technologies that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and customer experience.

What you will focus on

• Prepare equipment budgets for new store development and renovation projects, ensuring optimal operational performance, cost efficiency, and energy savings.
• Evaluate the suitability, safety, and performance of existing equipment in stores and distribution centers.
• Coordinate equipment procurement activities and monitor deliveries, ensuring alignment with project timelines and operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications for equipment, taking into account legislation, safety standards, consumer needs, sustainability, and Group guidelines.
• Research, evaluate, and introduce new technologies and equipment solutions that improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, and enhance the customer experience.
• Participate in store design and development projects, ensuring alignment with approved equipment standards and operational requirements.
• Support European and local sourcing initiatives, tenders, and supplier evaluation processes in collaboration with Group and internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with Procurement and other business functions to identify suitable suppliers and establish effective equipment partnerships.
• Contribute to the evaluation, management, and recycling of used or obsolete equipment in line with company sustainability objectives.

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in equipment management, technical projects, engineering, construction, retail development, or a related field.
• Very good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Experience working with SAP and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with procurement processes, purchase orders, and supplier management systems.
• Understanding of technical specifications, equipment materials, and industry standards.
