Job purpose

As an IFRS Specialist you will be a member of the Record to Report Team, in Finance Business Services Department. Part of your role will be to analyse financial transactions and determine their appropriate accounting treatment under IFRS standards. What you will focus on

• Participate in the timely and accurate booking of journal entries and accounting documents into the general ledgers
• Be responsible for monitoring & reconciling intragroup transactions. Coordinate with business owners and supervise 3rd party service provider
• Supervise procedures and reconciliation in tax accounts for period closing
• Be responsible for the quarterly submission of Group tax reporting package (TRADE) according to Group Accounting policies
• Prepare and submit planning data for the areas of his/ her responsibility
• Coordinate with Tax Manager on transfer pricing and other tax matters  
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures and support financial reporting projects and initiatives as required
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to provide necessary documentation and explanations to ensure consistent and accurate application of IFRS principles
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and changes in IFRS and related regulations

What you have

• BSc in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Business Administration or any relative field. MSC in Finance or Business Administration
• 2-3 years of related work experience in Advisory/Audit Company or a Multinational firm (preferably in FMCG sector) 
• ACCA or/and ACA (completed at least the 2/3 of the program)
• Excellent command of Greek and English language, written & verbal
• MS suite literate
• Knowledge of SAP, Hyperion Planning, would be considered an asset
