Job’s Purpose 

Transportation Supervisor reports directly to the Transportation Manager. Is responsible to prepare, monitor and coordinate the daily routing plan of the company's private and public use trucks, ensuring the orderly operation of the distribution of products from the warehouses to the stores, taking care to ensure the health and safety of the working drivers.

What you will focus on

• Daily preparation of the routing plan and the work schedule of public and private truck drivers based on the store’s orders in cooperation with the Planning Manager, ensuring the timely and effectively distribution of the products.  
• Preparation of the department’s budget.
• Monitors the differences between the initial routing plan and the final routing plan in order to improve the time and the quality of transport, increasing the productivity of all available resources.  
• Gathers information from stores about the quality of the products received and informs the Warehouse Managers accordingly, contributing to the improvement of warehouse processes.
• Informs the Fleet Technical supervisor about emerging mechanical problems of the car trucks and, given the availability of the fleet, reprograms the routing plan.
• Participates in the selection and training of private truck drivers, especially in matters of safe driving, while at the same time monitoring and evaluating their work performance.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures of the company including Health and Safety, Environmental and be proactive in the development of a safe working environment.

Who we are looking for

• At least 5 years of prior experience in relevant field or in a similar position.
• Relevant educational background will be considered as an asset.
• Very good knowledge Microsoft Office (Should be proficient in using a computer and be able to analyze data in a database/spreadsheet)
• Experience in ERP Systems.
• Very good knowledge of English language (both written and verbal.
